    Product Description:
Silver sulfate (Ag₂SO₄) is an inorganic salt with the chemical formula Ag₂SO₄. It appears as a white crystalline solid and is sparingly soluble in water. Its solubility is significantly higher in concentrated sulfuric acid or nitric acid compared to pure water. The primary application of silver sulfate is as a laboratory reagent in analytical chemistry. It serves as a mild oxidizing agent in specific titrations and is used in the determination of chloride, bromide, and iodide ions via precipitation reactions. It is also employed in the preparation of other silver compounds and has been investigated for its antimicrobial properties. As a silver salt, it is light-sensitive and should be stored in dark bottles. It is also corrosive and can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. Proper handling with personal protective equipment is required.
