    Product Description:
2,2,6,6-Tetramethylheptane-3,5-dione, commonly known as dipivaloylmethane, is a ▓-diketone compound characterized by two tert-butyl groups flanking a central 1,3-diketone moiety. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a melting point of 19-20 ░C and a boiling point of 72-73 ░C at 6 mmHg. This compound is widely used as a ligand in coordination chemistry, forming stable metal complexes with transition metals and lanthanides. These complexes serve as precursors for chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes, particularly in the fabrication of thin films for electronic and optical devices. Additionally, it is employed as a precursor for perovskite solar cell materials, where it acts as a chelating agent to stabilize metal oxide layers. In organic synthesis, it functions as a versatile building block for the preparation of heterocyclic compounds and as a reagent in Michael addition reactions. Its high thermal stability and volatility make it suitable for gas-phase deposition techniques, while its diketone structure enables keto-enol tautomerism, influfluencing its reactivity in catalytic systems.
