    Product Description:
Zirconium dioxide (ZrO_, CAS 1314-23-4), commonly known as zirconia, is a white crystalline oxide of zirconium. It exists in several polymorphs, with the monoclinic phase being stable at room temperature, transitioning to tetragonal and cubic phases at higher temperatures. Its high melting point (~2715буC), chemical inertness, and excellent mechanical strength make it a critical industrial material. Zirconia is widely utilized as a precursor for advanced ceramics, including oxygen sensors, solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), and dental and biomedical implants due to its biocompatibility and fracture toughness. In its stabilized form (e.g., yttria-stabilized zirconia, YSZ), it serves as a high-temperature electrolyte. Additionally, it is employed as a high-temperature coating material for thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) in turbine engines and as an abrasive and polishing agent. Its high refractive index also makes it useful in optical applications and as a gemstone simulant.
