    Product Description:
Lead borate is an inorganic compound primarily composed of lead oxide and boric oxide. It is typically a white or yellowish crystalline powder with low solubility in water. Its most significant application is in the electronics and materials industries as a key component in the formulation of low-temperature, lead-based glass frits and glazes. These materials are essential for thick-film pastes used in the manufacturing of electronic components, such as dielectric layers, resistors, and electrodes in hybrid integrated circuits and multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). It acts as a flux, lowering the melting point and promoting adhesion and densification during firing. Additionally, it finds use as a fire-retardant and smoke-suppressant additive in certain polymers and as a corrosion inhibitor in paints and coatings. Lead borate is toxic due to its lead content, posing risks of neurological and developmental damage. It requires careful handling with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to strict environmental and occupational safety regulations regarding lead-containing substances.
