    Product Description:
Titanium di-n-butoxide bis(2,4-pentanedionate), also known as titanium(IV) bis(acetylacetonate) diisobutoxide, is an organotitanium compound. It is a yellow to orange viscous liquid or low-melting solid, soluble in common organic solvents. Its structure features two chelating acetylacetonate ligands and two n-butoxide groups coordinated to the central titanium atom. This compound is primarily used as a crosslinking agent and catalyst in the coatings and polymer industries. It acts as a precursor for the sol-gel synthesis of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and hybrid organic-inorganic materials. Its key application is as an adhesion promoter and crosslinker in silicone-based and other polymer coatings, where it improves hardness, scratch resistance, and adhesion to various substrates, including metals and plastics. It is also employed as a catalyst for esterification and transesterification reactions. As a metal-organic precursor, it offers controlled reactivity and is valued for developing functional thin films, anti-corrosion coatings, and materials with specific optical or electronic properties. Proper handling is required as it is moisture-sensitive and may cause skin and eye irritation.
