    Product Description:
1,1,1-Trichlorotrifluoroethane, also known as CFC-113a, is a chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) compound. It is a volatile, non-flammable liquid with the chemical formula C2Cl3F3. Historically, it was produced as a byproduct in the manufacture of other CFCs like CFC-113. Its primary historical application was as a highly effective solvent and cleaning agent, particularly in precision cleaning for the electronics and aerospace industries, and as a degreasing agent. Due to its ozone-depleting potential, its production and use have been phased out globally under the Montreal Protocol. Currently, it is primarily of interest as a feedstock (chemical precursor) in the production of hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs), which are next-generation refrigerants with low global warming potential. Its handling is strictly regulated, and it is classified as an ozone-depleting substance.
