    Product Description:
1,1'-Bis(di-tert-butylphosphino)ferrocene (dtbpf) is a bidentate phosphine ligand featuring a ferrocene backbone. It is a highly electron-rich and sterically demanding ligand, typically supplied as an air-sensitive solid that requires handling under inert atmosphere. Its primary application is as a ligand in homogeneous catalysis, particularly in cross-coupling reactions (e.g., Suzuki, Heck, Sonogashira) and hydrogenation processes. The combination of the rigid ferrocenyl scaffold and bulky tert-butyl groups provides excellent stability and unique steric/electronic properties to the resulting metal complexes, often leading to high catalytic activity and selectivity. It is also used in the synthesis of materials, such as precursors for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and other organometallic semiconductors, where its ability to fine-tune the electronic properties of metal centers is valuable. Due to its air sensitivity, it must be stored and handled under an inert atmosphere (nitrogen or argon). It is a valuable tool in both academic research and industrial process development for fine chemical and advanced material synthesis.
